The process of creating an integrated and competitive electricity market in Europe has been high on the agenda for a long time. Recent signals indicate that the wind has shifted. The ambitious investment program in UK to reduce CO2 emissions and the nuclear phase out decision in Germany are both decisions that may make a profound impact on the future development of the European Electricity market.
